Purpose
To promote the orderly growth and development of the unincorporated areas of Wayne County through:
- Preparation of land use plans, transportation plans and any other plans concerning the public health, safety and Welfare in regards to development as needed.
- Preparation of new and updated land development regulations, controls, and ordinances as necessary or directed by the Board of Commissioners.
- Proper review of proposed subdivisions, mobile home parks, and salvage operations within the jurisdiction of Wayne County.
- Review of proposed land uses within zoned areas to ensure compliance with the County zoning ordinance.
