Wayne County, NC – As of today, the Wayne County Health Department has received notification of 2,957 total positive cases of COVID-19. 109 of these cases have been attributed to congregate living facilities and 2,396 are cases from outside any type of congregate facility. 2,674 of the 2,957 individuals who tested positive are now considered recovered, leaving an estimated total of 227 cases that are currently active in Wayne County.
The Health Department received notice of five additional deaths this week. The total number of deaths in Wayne County is currently 56.
