Wayne County, NC – As of today, the Wayne County Health Department has received notification of 2,217 total positive cases of COVID-19. 93 of these cases are attributed to congregate living facilities and 1,672 are cases from outside any type of congregate facility. 1,956 of the 2,217 individuals who tested positive are now considered recovered, leaving an estimated total of 225 cases that are currently active in Wayne County.
The Health Department received notice of two additional deaths this week. The total number of deaths in Wayne County is currently 36.
