Emergency Operations Center Activated / County Operations

Wayne County, NC – Due to approaching Hurricane Dorian, the Wayne County Office of Emergency Services has announced the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) for Wayne County was partially activated as of 1:00 p.m. today, Wednesday, September 4, 2019, and will fully activate at 8:00 a.m. tomorrow, Thursday, September 5, 2019.

The phone number to the Emergency Operations Center is 919-731-1430.  The EOC will remain open until further notice.

County Manager Craig Honeycutt has announced that County offices will remain open until 3 p.m. on Thursday, September 5, 2019. All offices will close at 3 p.m. and will remain closed Friday, September 6, 2019.
