The Wayne County Sheriff's Office Civil Division currently consists of 2 different sections. These sections are:

This Division is led by Captain Beverly Deans. The Civil Division is directly supervised by There are a total of 12 full-time Court Deputy/Bailiffs, 12 part-time Bailiffs, 5 Civil Process Deputies, 8 part-time Reserve Deputies (civil paper servers), 1 Receptionist, 1 Administrative Assistant and 2 Concealed Handgun Permit Analyst.
Civil Process Section
The Civil Process Section is led by Lieutenant Ian Barratt and has 5 full-time Deputies and 8 part-time Deputies. This section is responsible for the Service of Civil Processes, Evictions, Carrying out Pre and Post-Judgement Remedies as well as the execution of any other Orders that the Courts deem necessary. The Civil Section will serve over 20,000 Civil Papers from all over the United States in an average year.
Court Section
The Court Section consists of 12 full-time Bailiffs and 12 part-time Deputy Bailiffs. They are assigned to work in all Courts held in Wayne County. Their duties include handling prisoners, protection of Court Officials, Jurors and Witnesses and carrying out any other Orders of the Court.
