DESCRIPTION OF WORK:
Under general supervision, performs skilled technical work in support of the Facilities Division of the Facilities and Technical Services Department. Work involves installing and maintaining a variety of mechanical systems in County facilities. Employee is responsible for operating, maintaining, repairing, installing, upgrading, correcting, and troubleshooting HVAC and plumbing systems throughout the County; troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, plumbing and refrigerator system problems and repairing or replacing system components; recommending future changes in HVAC system to County management; and preparing and maintaining a variety of related records and reports. Employee is also responsible for reviewing and evaluating the work of subordinate Maintenance Technicians. Reports to the Facilities Supervisor.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Graduation from high school and 3 to 5 years of building trades and maintenance experience; or any equiva¬lent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK:
Under general supervision, performs technical and semi-skilled work in support of the Facilities Department. Work involves performing general grounds and facilities maintenance and repairs for property owned and leased by the County. Employee is responsible for preparing work orders for plumbing and maintenance and repairs, and servicing and maintaining a variety of equipment. Employee is also responsible for assisting with light construction and renovation projects including roof repairs. Reports to the Facilities Director.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Graduation from high school with vocational training in related field and 1 to 2 years of related experience; or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
