FEMA Assistance for Hurricane Florence

FEMA encourages any Wayne County residents, homeowners who had damage to their primary residence or renters who sustained losses to personal property due to Hurricane Florence to file a claim with their insurance company and register for FEMA assistance. If applicants are uninsured or under-insured, they may be eligible for FEMA assistance. Register online at DisasterAssistance.gov or call

1-800-621-3362 or visit a Disaster Recovery Center.


FEMA has 18 Disaster Recovery Centers throughout North Carolina. While an applicant can register at any DRC location, the closest for Wayne County residents may be the Kinston location in Lenoir County or the Wallace location in Duplin County.
