As a teenager, it can be difficult to take the steps necessary to improve or maintain your health. It is important to take care of yourself, because your health affects every other part of your life. Mental, emotional and physical health are connected, so you cannot focus on one and neglect the others. If you do not have a healthy relationship with yourself, you cannot have healthy relationships with others. Discussed in this section is mental, physical and emotional health. Also provided, are tips to improve your health in each area.
It’s normal to not “feel like yourself” every so often. But, when these feelings last longer than a couple of days and interfere with your life, it is a sign that something isn’t right and that you should get help. Sometimes, when teens display unusual or undesirable behavior, it is attributed to “being a teenager”. However, it is important to be able to differentiate between a bad mood, and something serious.
